Nurture &
Nanny strongly encourages families to discuss all finances, job
duties, and special circumstances with the nanny prior to
commencement of employment. Having all business matters agreed upon
ensures a successful working relationship.
Several factors go into deciding the salary for a nanny: years of
experience, number of children under her care, job duties, and hours
to be worked. When calculating salary, be sure to consider overtime
pay, vacation pay, raises and/or medical benefits.
When a placement has been made it is highly recommended that you
form a work agreement with your nanny. This agreement should include
the following:
-Work Schedule (days/hrs)
-Gross Salary
-Vacation/Sick Days
-Specific Child Care Duties
-Specific Housekeeping Duties

Below are examples of nanny salaries. Remember, being a nanny is a
profession and should be paid accordingly. (Salary is the same for
live-in and live-out positions, excluding baby nurses)
Full Time Nannies (Gross Weekly Income)
$550-$1200 (40-50 hour/week)
Part-Time Nannies (Gross Hourly Rate)
$15-$25 per hour
Baby Nurses Baby Nurses $20-$35 per hour based on 12/24 hour
shifts
There is no established standard when it comes to nanny salaries.
Wages vary by geography, hours worked, experience and nannies
education.
Many nannies receive the following benefits:
Paid vacation - 2 weeks (at Family's Scheduling Discretion)
Health insurance (after the first 3 months of employment)
Cellular Phone (For work purposes only)
